The Chili Run – Race Day Info

Following is important Race Day Info and Packet Pick Up Options for The Chili Run taking place on February 8th.

Race Date: February 8th at 10am (Rain, Snow, Sleet, or Shine)

Location: Carolina Blue Restaurant – 692 Lambs Road, Pitman, NJ 08071

Parking: We encourage Car Pooling when possible. The majority of cars will have space at Carolina Blue. We have overflow parking at Comet Tool (front lot only) which is located a few hundred yards away on Lambs Road. We will have a parking attendant directing cars.

Pre Race Day Packet Pick Up: We will have an OPTIONAL (but recommended) Pre Race Day Packet Pick on Saturday, Feb 7th from 10am-2pm.  Runners will receive their race bib and shirt (plus pint glass and beanie if purchased). The location will be at The Running Co in Mullica Hill located at 86 N. Main Street.  We do allow you to pick up for others.   THOSE PICKING UP ARE OFFERED 15% OFF PURCHASES FROM THE RUNNING CO ON THIS DAY.

Race Day Packet Pick Up: Race Day Packet Pick Up will be offered from 8:45am-9:45am at Carolina Blue.  Check-In will be located on the back patio area. Front Door will not be open before race.  If you picked up at pre race day PPU, you do not need to check in on race day.

We request all runners to be on location and ready to run by 9:50am – so we may start run on time.

Race Results: We will have race results available immediately following the run at kiosks and on this website.

Awards: There will be Individual and Team Awards presented at the After Party Inside Carolina Blue at approximately 11am.  Calculated times for awards are based on a Gun Start. The finish is “chip timed”. We offer awards to the top 3 overall Male and Female Runners, as well as Top 3 Male and Female in each age group (1-19, 20-29, 30-39, etc.) Team Awards are based on the combined results of the  fastest 4 runners per team (min 1 female to be scored). We have a Masters and Open Division for Team Awards.

Ugly Sweater Competition: We will have an award for the Ugliest Sweater judged by the crowd following the run. Participants in this contest are required to wear the sweater during the run! Winner will receive a $50 gift card to Carolina Blue!

Post Run Chili and Beer: Carolina Blue will be serving out their awesome chili immediately following the run. Plus, all bibs will have a “drink ticket” attached that you can redeem for the complimentary beer (21 plus, obviously). Keep your bibs on or handy to receive Chili!

After Party: We will have access to the entire restaurant between 10-Noon – Teams with 5 or more runners will have reserved tables. There is plenty of space for all! The outdoor fire pit will be open too.  Please note that we will request that if you choose to sit in the “dining room”, you may be asked to move to bar or back area at noon so that restaurant can make space to seat and serve lunchtime guests.  We will have dj’d music by DJ Joe in the back area!

Gear Check: Bibs have a ticket for Gear Check Option if you choose to use.  Please note that the Gear Check option is intended for the run, not the entire after party.

Race Photos: We are offering FREE Downloadable photos for all participants. We will email and post link when available. Sometimes it takes a couple days after the run for this link to be available.
