Sangria – Race Day FAQ and Packet Pick Up Info

Below is information you will find useful in making your Race day a fun and enjoyable experience for Run the Vineyards – Summer Scurry for Sangrias.

Location: Hawk Haven Vineyards – 600 Railroad Ave, Rio Grande, NJ 08242

Date: Saturday, June 22nd, 2019

Time: Race starts promptly at 6PM (Be ready to run at 5:45pm)

Packet Pick Up Times: (On-site Registration is available during these times – $45 – Shirt size probable, but not guaranteed)

  • Saturday – June 22nd at Hawk Haven Vineyards from 9-10am (You May Pick Up for Others – Have their bib number available please)
  • Saturday – June 22nd at Hawk Haven Vineyards from 4-5:30pm. 

Results: Instant race results are available on this website, and at the results kiosks located at the Finish Line. You will also be emailed the results.

Awards: We are having this race chip timed at the start and finish. Please note that OVERALL awards are based on Gun Start, while Age Group awards are based on Chip Start. If you are competing for an award, we recommend that you start close to the front of the start line. We give awards to the top 3 overall finishers (Male and Female) and top 3 per age category (under 14, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39…). Awards are presented at approximately 7pm.

Post Run Celebration: Enjoy a complimentary glass of Sangria or wine at the finish while listening to our live musician, Greg Jones. We will have Corn Hole too. Hawk Haven has a beautiful patio, tent area, and indoor tasting room. Plus there is plenty of lawn space to bring your own chairs and blankets if you choose. Plan to hang out for a few hours as they will have wine and sangria available by the glass, bottle and case, along with continuous live music til 9PM! A food vendor is coming to provide terrific dinner items at a reasonable price. A great night to enjoy with family and friends!

Photos: We will have Free Downloadable Photos available to all participants. We will email you that link by Monday morning following the race. The Link is also available on the website.

Parking: Plenty of free parking at Hawk Haven Vineyards. We encourage Car Pooling when possible.

No outside Alcohol is permitted per licensing laws.

Bag Check: We offer bag check near registration area. Bags should be picked up within 15 minutes of completing your run.

Spectators: We love when Family and Friends hang out to cheer you on and show their support. If they have an interest in wine tasting or having a glass of wine, they would just be asked to pay the normal fees charged by the Vineyard.

GDFAR Swag:  We will have some Good Day for a Run gear available for purchase if you are interested.

Race is Rain or Shine – In the event of Thunderstorms, race will postponed up to 1 hour.

Same Day Registration: On-site Registration is available during PPU times – $45 – Shirt size probable, but not guaranteed.

Course: The entire course is off road and flat. The majority of the race is on short cut grass, with a portion on a trail through the woods.  Normal running shoes are adequate, but feel free to wear trail shoes if you would like.
