Runners

Ken Culbertson – Race Director

Ken graduated from Seton Hall University School of Business and has experience in real estate and race management. Following a twenty-year career in real estate, he joined Philadelphia Runner in 2010 as Outreach Coordinator and Event Planner. He has coached youth sports, primarily basketball, throughout his adult life, and currently coaches his nephews. Ken began running in 2008 after relocating to New Jersey from New Hampshire and has completed a variety of race distances, including five marathons.

Beth Culbertson – Race Manager

Beth received her bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University School of Nursing in 1994 and worked as an RN for 26 years while raising her children with Ken. Beth has had key roles at Good Day for a Run since the start and is a full-time partner managing and planning race logistics, communication, organizing runner check-in, and coordinating volunteers. Beth enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing piano, relaxing at the beach, and rooting for her favorite sports teams. She is a member of the Calling All Turtles running group, and a volunteer member of the HEADstrong Foundation as well

Jessica Cross

Jessica manages all social media, to community, engagement and event storytelling. Her fun, authentic style keeps runners excited, informed, and part of the action every step of the way.

Ron Riskie

Many participants already know Ron, our lead photographer who captures standout moments at many of our events. He also steps in as a DJ when needed.

Joe Dare

Joe Dare

Course Lead | GDFAR

A former collegiate athlete and current Track & Field Coach at Goldey-Beacom College, Joe has handled GDFAR race logistics since 2012. He regularly attends events across PA, NJ, and DE.

Chuck Sellers

Chuck Sellers

Course Lead | GDFAR

Chuck is a retired race director and timer who plays a key role within the GDFAR Course team during race events. He frequently attends races in New Jersey and occasionally in Pennsylvania.

Rob Oborne

Rob Oborne

Course Lead | GDFAR

Since 2023, Rob is primarily responsible for supporting races in Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, and other areas. He is a 20-year Navy veteran and retired as a Navy-Fire Controlman Chief.
